Why Start with On-Ramp?
At CrossFit Unyielding we offer a very comprehensive On-Ramp Program designed to help new athletes learn about CrossFit. If you would describe yourself as any of the following, then the CrossFit Unyielding On-Ramp Program is right for you, and you MUST COMPLETE THE ON-RAMP before joining in normal classes:
-You are starting your first fitness program.
-You are just starting a fitness program after a long period of inactivity.
-You exercise regularly, but have no previous CrossFit Experience.
-You have previous CrossFit Experience, but have taken at least 6 months off.
-You CrossFit on your own regularly, but you do so without a coach.
-You want to gain a thorough understanding of CrossFit fundamentals.
How Do I begin On-Ramp?
Our On-Ramp Program starts with a one-hour ‘Intro Class’ which is your FREE DAY. This class will allow you to get a taste of what we offer at CrossFit Unyielding. We test your mobility with the FMS Test. Which consists of 7 movement tests to allow us to see any potential issues. Afterwards, we will get you one-on-one with a coach to teach you the three foundation exercises in CrossFit – the squat, the deadlift, and the press. You will experience how our coaching staff works with you and you can judge whether our methods of training is for you.
When is On-Ramp Offered?
Our On-Ramp classes are offered on an individual basis. Please CONTACT A COACH at the gym after your intro class for more information.
How long will the On-Ramp Take?
The On-Ramp Program is designed to be taught as 5 separate 1-hour classes, The FREE INTRO CLASS is the first. Our coaches will work with your schedule and our class schedule to fit these classes in for each member.
What if I miss a class?
Life happens, and missing a class is a reality that some of our athletes face. We want our On-Ramp athletes to be completely comfortable with *all* of the movements before graduating to the daily WODs. We will work with you on times and we are very flexible towards your schedule!
How much does it cost?
After your first FREE SESSION with a coach, The additional 4 days of On-Ramp is $100.00. which is separate from your membership pricing options.
Why is it so much before I even begin?
You are paying for the Best Quality, One-On-One Coaching. We will provide you with all the information you need to understand CrossFit and the fundamental movements. We will spend the majority of our time on form, technique, and fixing any issues that may arise as we go over each movement. You will not learn as quickly or receive the necessary hands on coaching in a group class setting, as we have many athletes to keep an eye on during regular class times. Don't be surprised if your coach gives you homework after each session. If Olympic Movements are new to you, be prepared to learn a lot from our certified coaching staff! It is ABSOLUTELY worth it. Every single member in our gym has gone through it and it will help you tremendously when you begin your first WOD (Workout of the Day).
